How do I consume music

when?  I listen to music every day in the car on the way to school or work. I listen to music when doing chores, revising and doing coursework. This is so that I don't realise what I'm doing so much and tend to get more done as I don't get so bored.
where? I am constantly listening to music, both in school and out. I spend a lot of time at my dining room table doing work so I would say that that is where I listen to music most. This is usually on my iPod because the people around me don't usually agree with my music choises. One of my close friends are in a band so me and my friend Olivia visit them a lot to support them. I also like going to concerts and festivals.
who with? I listen to a lot of my music alone this is because I use it as a sort of escape from reality, it motivates me and distracts me from the things I would usually get distracted by. I go to a lot of concerts with my little sister, these are usually pop concerts like little mix as they are her favourite band (right now). I also attend a lot of smaller gigs with my friends Oliva and Toby. As Toby is in an indie rock band we often go to gigs that they are doing either on their own or with lots of other bands, and if we really like one of the bands we might even go to one of their gigs again.
why? I listen to music because it is a way of identifying who you are, it allows you to become someone, whether that be some sassy pop diva when listening to BeyoncĂ© singing into your hair brush j front of the mirror, or listening to PVRIS and feeling like some edgy rock princess. Music influences everything people do, it can be the reason relationships are made, it can influence what you decide to wear everyday it can make people feel comfortable with them selfs, it creates a community. I like a wide variety of music from, rock to country, soul to electronic. Each for a different reason, depending on what mood I'm in I listen to different genres.
When I'm revising I tend to listen to more clubby songs this is because they don't have many lyrics so I don't find myself getting too lost in the music and singing rather than doing work. When I am sad I usually listen to country songs as they are really heartfelt and you can relate to the lyrics, a lot of them are up beat and fast tempo which usually lifts up my spirits. I really like punk rock because the songs are loud fun and tell a story you can usually relate to the attitude a lot and tell what they have been through as they are very open with their songs.
