Today in class we looked at the draft for this years course, discussing what we would be doing throughout the year and what the coursework would entitle. After we had gone through the draft we then went on to look at examples of coursework that the previous year had created. looking at three music videos we got an idea of the different themes and ideas we could play with and how our final pieces are expected to look. The few that we looked at were able to give us an idea on how we are able to choose any genre of music, any style of music video and make an amazing piece.
We then went on to take note of all of the features we believe belong in a music video, for example a Narrative, iconology, lip syncing, performance and good lighting. as we are new to the topic of music videos we were a little scratchy but we managed to note down a few things which I will upload later on.
As preparation for the next lesson we have been told to look around and find at least one music video that we like. Below is the YouTube link to the video I have chosen to two of my favourite videos.
